China's exports rose by 1.4 percent year-on-year in yuan terms to 1.46 trillion yuan ($205.74 billion) in May, official data showed on Sunday.


China's central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) have been asked to reduce or waive rents for small businesses in a bid to cut the latter's operating costs and bolster the slowing economy, according to the country's top state-owned asset regulator.


China firmly opposes the US including 33 Chinese enterprises, universities, research institutions and individuals on the export control "entity list" on the grounds of so-called "military involvement" and "human rights", the Ministry of Commerce said on Friday.

As China prepares to soon unveil a three-year action plan for the reform of its State-owned enterprises to further focus on mixed-ownership reform and reorganization, industry experts said the move will aid the government's efforts to steer the economy toward innovation and technology-driven high-quality growth.

While battling the COVID-19 pandemic, China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group, a 70-year-old State-owned enterprise with comprehensive construction capabilities, has smoothly and safely continued its construction work on overseas projects, helping host countries boost their economies in the process.

A trade show featuring small commodities will go online in August, according to a cooperation agreement between Alibaba.com and the commerce bureau of Yiwu, a city dubbed the "World's Supermarket."

China will resolutely curb the resurgence of various types of financial risks and properly handle new challenges arising from the complicated economic and financial situation amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, regulatory officials said.
