One, the new generation of electronic information industry.

 It is the largest pillar industry in the city.With a total output value of more than 130 billion euros, that is, over one trillion yuan, it features a number of leading smart phone enterprises.

Among them, OPPO and vivo are leading enterprises that grew up in Dongguan, with headquarters rooted in Dongguan for more than 20 years, and their businesses cover more than 20 European countries.In 2023, Dongguan mobile phone shipments totaled 223 million, and one out of every five smart phones in the world was produced in Dongguan.Driven by these leading enterprises, Dongguan has formed a complete industrial system from basic parts to terminal product manufacturing, with a comprehensive matching rate of more than 90%, and the intelligent mobile terminal industrial cluster has successfully entered one of the first batches of 15 national advanced manufacturing clusters.

Two, the high-end equipment manufacturing industry.

The manufacturing industry is the second largest pillar industry in Dongguan, with an industry scale of 64 billion euros, featuring more than 400 industry chain enterprises, and more than 50,000 employees, creating first-mover advantages in CNC machine tools, machine vision, robots, and other industries. In recent years, Dongguan’s new energy industry has developed rapidly, forming an industrial cluster with a total scale of about 13 billion euros.In the field of new energy vehicles, we have full chain enterprises such as positive, negative and electrolyte required for the production and manufacturing of lithium batteries.Especially with the development of intelligent networked vehicles, many consumer electronics enterprises in Dongguan have turned to automotive electronics business.At present, there are more than 500 upstream and downstream enterprises related to automotive electronics, covering semiconductor R&D, design and sealing test, vehicle system integration, automotive digital base, vehicle connectors, and other key links in the middle and downstream.The headquarters of BYD, a leading enterprise in new energy vehicles, is about 40 kilometers away from Dongguan, and the BYD motor electronic control key parts production and manufacturing project has been laid out in Dongguan. The city has a solid foundation for new energy vehicle manufacturing and key parts production enterprises to settle in.In addition, Dongguan also has the port advantage of developing the new energy industry, with two national ports - Dongguan Port and Xinsha Port, Xinsha Port is the largest port in South China and the second largest vehicle import and export port in the country, with three 70,000-ton ro-ro vehicle ship berths, nine vehicle inspection lines, and an annual vehicle handling capacity of 340,000 vehicles.

Four, the food and beverage industry.

It is one of the pillar industries in Dongguan, and the city has more than 213 food and beverage enterprises above the designated scale. Many well-known brands such as Nestle and Xu Fu Ji have set up companies in Dongguan.At present, the food and beverage industry in Dongguan has basically formed a full-industrial chain of “product R&D - materials and equipment - food and beverage processing - product circulation”, with a revenue of close to 18 billion euros in 2022.The layout of food and beverage projects in Dongguan has another outstanding advantage. The GBA where Dongguan is located has gathered hundreds of millions of people, and there is a huge market demand for food and beverage.
