One-hundred welders from Xiangyang, Hubei province, have started work at a key project in Indonesia after arriving in the country in late February. They will work there for three years, employed for the construction of a nickel-related project under the Belt and Road Initiative. Before going to Indonesia, the welders received professional training for four months, after which they learned high-skill techniques.

The counter of a post office in downtown Beijing has been very busy these past few days, serving buyers of Lei Feng-themed stamp products featuring commemorative postmarks. This post office branch was designated as an interim station to sell the themed philatelic items in honor of the Chinese hero this month.

Chongqing municipality completed the construction of a 500-kilometer urban rail transit line on Feb 27, said to be the world's largest rail transit network in a mountainous area. It also became the eighth domestic city to operate a rail transit line over 500 km, following Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Wuhan.
