On October 3, Guangdong reported 26 new locally-transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases (10 in Guangzhou, 7 in Shenzhen, 2 in Foshan, 2 in Huizhou, 4 in Zhaoqing, and 1 in Qingyuan) and 16 new local asymptomatic infections (7 in Guangzhou, 4 in Shenzhen, 1 in Shantou, 1 in Huizhou, 2 in Dongguan, and 1 in Zhaoqing).

Huawei Technologies Co launched an innovative solution in Berlin, Germany on Thursday to help build a more secure, efficient and smarter railway mobile communications system. The solution, known as the Future Railway Mobile Communication System, or FRMCS, is part of Huawei's broader push to drive digital transformation in the rail industry.

Local governments have come up with diversified measures, including handing out consumption vouchers, enriching traveling activities and organizing consumption festivals to boost culture and tourism consumption. For instance, Fuzhou city in East China's Fujian province plans to issue consumption vouchers worth 3 million yuan (about $423,000) during the holiday season to encourage spending, and Southwest China's Sichuan province will organize over 70 activities such as cultural and night tours to attract travelers.

China's largest private carmaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group told China Daily on Friday that it has acquired a 7.6 percent stake in British luxury carmaker Aston Martin Lagonda. Daniel Donghui Li, CEO of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, said its well-established track record and technology offerings can contribute to Aston Martin's future success.

With the 5th China International Import Expo preparing to open in just 30 days, more exhibits have been revealed, including some making their global debuts. The expo's consumer products section will also feature many new and innovative hair products.

Construction was completed on a high-profile bridge in Guizhou on Monday, which when open will reduce travel time in the province and promote local economic development. The Ganxi Grand Bridge, spanning 1,220 meters, is a key project of an expressway in Guiding county of Guizhou.
