East China's Jiangsu province saw robust foreign trade growth in the first two months of 2022, according to its capital city Nanjing customs. The province's total import and export value hit 839.7 billion yuan ($131.7 billion) from January to February, up 15.1 percent year-on-year, official data showed.

Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer and a key supplier of Apple Inc, said its plants in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, have been suspended from Monday due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the city.

More efforts should be made to establish green and low-carbon data centers with higher computing efficiency and less power consumption, a move which industry insiders said aligns with China's pledge to peak the country's carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

The Chinese mainland on Monday reported 3,507 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday. Of the new local infections, 3,076 were reported in Jilin, 106 in Shandong, 53 in Shaanxi, 51 in Tianjin, 48 in Guangdong, 33 in Fujian, 31 in Zhejiang, 24 in Liaoning, 20 in Jiangsu, 13 in Hebei, and 10 in Chongqing. The rest of the cases were reported in Shanghai, Heilongjiang, Gansu, Beijing, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Anhui and Henan.

The latest comprehensive score for consumer satisfaction in 100 cities across China continued to show a steady upward trend for the fourth year, breaking through the 80-point mark for the first time, according to the China Consumers Association on Sunday.

January-February readings for China's major economic indicators came in better than expected, despite headwinds amid the challenging external environment and COVID-19 cases at home, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.

China's investment in property development rose 3.7 percent year-on-year in the first two months of this year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Tuesday. During this period, property investment stood at around 1.45 trillion yuan ($227.42 billion), NBS data showed.
