China's National Health Commission said Sunday that it received reports of 23 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Saturday, one of which was locally transmitted in Liaoning.Twenty-two cases were imported from outside the mainland, the commission said in its daily report.


The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has inscribed China's Taijiquan on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity during the fifteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage held online from December 14 to 19.

China promised to share a portion of the lunar soil with other nations and organizations based on international cooperation conventions, said the deputy head of China's space agency on Thursday when asked whether China will share samples with NASA.


China’s first national key facility for translational medicine was put into use at Shanghai’s Ruijin Hospital on Saturday.The central government has been setting up facilities in locations such as Shanghai, Beijing and Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces to establish a nationwide translational medicine network.
