Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Sunday that he stands ready to work with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Md. Abdul Hamid, to better align the two countries' strategies and jointly promote the construction of the Belt and Road, so as to take the China-Bangladesh strategic partnership of cooperation to new heights.

The Chinese mainland reported 16 new imported COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 2,901, the National Health Commission said Sunday. Of the new imported cases, six were reported in Guangdong, three in Sichuan, two each in Yunnan and Shaanxi, and one each in Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangxi, the commission said in its daily report.

China was the largest contributor to global 5G sales in the second quarter of 2020, with 72 percent of global 5G handset revenues coming from China, per a report from market research firm Counterpoint. Most of this was driven by a push from Huawei, according to the report.
