The 127th edition of the biannual China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair and held from June 15 to 24 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province in South China, presented an unprecedented challenge to Guangzhou Light Holding Ltd.

China's top three airlines received their first homegrown ARJ21 airplanes in Shanghai on Sunday from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), paving the way for the aircraft to join the fleets of the world's mainstream airlines.

Volvo Car Group, owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, is partnering with Alphabet's autonomous driving unit Waymo to develop highly automated electric robotaxis for the Swedish carmaker as well as its affiliate Polestar and Chinese joint venture Lynk& Co.

China's electric vehicle battery market is expected to embrace better-quality products with lower prices as the nation opens the industry to both domestic and international players, leading to fierce market competition and helping bring better batteries to the market, industry experts said.
